Ivo Grbić leaves Atlético Madrid to join Sheffield United on permanent deal for €2.5m fee.
Horatiu Moldovan will replace Grbić as Atléti will sign the Romanian GK from Rapid Bucarest — release clause triggered for €800k.

Jawohl, das stimmt! Moldovan ist am gestrigen Mo., 22.1.24 per Privatjet nach Madrid zum Medizincheck lt. übereinstimmenden, rumänischen Medien geflogen. Moldovan wurde in Madrid von einigen Rapid-Fans mit Geburtstagsgesängen bereits empfangen. Das Medizincheck hat gestern nicht mehr stattgefunden und soll voraussichtlich heute, 23.1.24 erfolgen. Dann steht der Verpflichtung des aktuellen rumänischen Nationaltorhüters nichts mehr im Wege zumal Atletico seine €800.000 Ausstiegsklausel bereits am 21.1.24 überwiesen hat. Vertrag läuft auf 4,5 Jahren. Diese verhältnismäßig niedrige Ausstiegsklausel stammt aus dem Jahre 2021 als Moldovan als Winterneuzugang von UTA Arad keinen sonderlich hohen Marktwert hatte, was ihn für Atletico zum richtigen Schnäppchen jetzt nun macht.
